What's New - A Word from the WebHistorian

04.02.08. It begins

Okay, so the website just got some major updates. First of all, the Events webpage is now active, and will be a great resource for everyone who wants to know more information about upcoming events. Go there to keep up to date if you're not getting the e-mails. As for the Internship, SEA CLEAR, and Advocacy pages, I've added some information, but I'm still waiting on the respective coordinators to provide more in depth information. But hey, at least that annoying "Coming soon" is gone. And of course, you can now go to the forums! It'll be a place where you can discuss anything you want and express what's on your mind. It's chatterbox to the next level! And last but not least, I think I just saw "Ucla Vsu" on Facebook! He/She is sooo cool! Make sure to add him/her to your friends. We're taking over by website, e-mails, and Facebook! Believe it!

04.01.08. Interact

April is here and that means that one of VSU's biggest programs, Black April, is just around the corner. Thus, this month's theme is Fallen Heroes. The theme is more solemn, to reflect the tone and atmosphere of the Vietnam War. It's a stark contrast from last month's colorful theme, Dream Lucky, both in the theme and meaning. Yes, all my theme's are designed to present a meaning and message, even this mini-feed has a purpose. If you haven't noticed, I make my theme in a way that there's a hidden message in it. Of course, it's all up to your interpretation. But just know that the design of the website is another form of expression that the author can utilize, just like books and art.

But I digress. More importantly, sometime tonight or by tomorrow, I will update the website to include links to the VSU new forum, and other updates to keep this website up to date with all information regarding the crazy amount of programming that VSU is putting on. Until next time, this mini-feed is over and out!

Your VSU Webhistorian 2007-2008,
Brian Ly

A Message From the President

Hello. My name is Daniel Pham, your President for this year. For those new to VSU, welcome to one of the largest and tightest-knit family at UCLA. I am sure you, like many other members and staff before you, will find the Vietnamese Student Union to be your home away from home. For those returning, I look forward to seeing your awesome faces again, and you will find that we are trying out many new and great things.
