Well, we are having a meeting on Tuesday at 7PM in SAC (Student Activities Center) Basement. We will be putting together the yearbook outline, as well as assigning articles and brainstorming other ways to make our yearbook very People Magazine-like (which is the theme). But, that will be discussed then. I hope to see you guys there and if you aren't, I'll be very sad. Anyway, have a great first Week of Spring Quarter! Bye guys!
P.S. Once again, if anyone knows anyone who is available to design a layout for us, use Photoshop, or design a cover, please direct them to the meeting, or to me (at this e-mail!). Let's make this year's book as pretty as possible!

Come to the Black April Commemoration Committee meeting! Black April is what we call the day often known as the day Saigon fell. This year it'll be 33 years since the Fall of Saigon, and the event will be held on April 30, 2008 at UCLA. Come and help plan the event along with learning and discussing with other VSU members what they think and feel about Black April. Each year VSU holds a Black April Commemoration to remember how and why we're here and learn about issues going on in Vietnam today.

For those not familiar with Café Am, it is basically a night of art put up by VSU to create the opportunity for students on and even off campus to showcase their creativity and talents. Though heavily performance arts –based (with acts like singing, dancing, spoken words, etc.), we also welcome any written and artwork submissions (drawings, painting, photos, poetry, etc.). This event usually takes place around mid May at Ackerman Grand Ballroom and is open for everyone to come with free beverages provided throughout the night.

Description: HOPE's UCLA Day is our spring make-up HOPE HS Conference for those students who were unable to attend our fall event. Students will be able to see the campus in the light of the student groups and activities that exist on campus. Ultimately the goal is for our students to gain exposure to UCLA's campus and get a feel for the rich college-culture.
UCLA Day will be featuring J.U.I.C.E., a Hip Hop performance group dedicated to discussing justice through creative means. TWe are looking for volunteers to help for the day and lead tours. Also, we are seeking student activists who can talk about the history of their organization relative to the campus.
