VSU Week 4 General Meeting and Things to Come
Our next general meeting will be themed around Hate Crimes. You may not think it's an issue in our community but it really is. You don't believe me? Well, attend this general meeting and allow your eyes to be opened to the truth. It's at the usual spot (SAC Basement) at the usual time (5PM Wednesday). So come out and be enlightened.
The website is currently going through some new additions. There will be an alumni section added. If you're a VSU alumni, please e-mail me with your name, the position and time you were for VSU, and a picture of yourself. Some other ideas is a shoutbox on this page and an online forum to let the site be a bit more interactive and so that alumni and current members can interact and network with each other. If there's any other comments, ideas, suggestions, shoot me an e-mail at Falcon1ps2 [at] Yahoo [dot] com!

VSU-VNLC Joint General Meeting
I can't believe how awesome VCN 2008 was last night. I sincerely hope that everyone who attended had an awesome time and learned new things about history and culture. Information on how to get the DVD's as well as pictures and videos from this eventful night will be released as soon as possible on the VCN and pictures webpage. I'd also like to congratulate everyone who was involved in VCN for pulling it all together and to Karen Tran, VSU Cultural Coordinator, for working herself to make sure we had a VCN this year.

Also, please fill out a VCN Evaluation Survey to give us feedback so that we can improve next year's VCN. You can either do it by printing this hard copy and turning it on the VSU Table on Bruinwalk or take the survey online here.
Onto this week's events, there will be a joint general meeting with VNLC in the SAC Basement at 6PM-7PM, a change from the usual 5PM this quarter. The theme will be music so come out and awaken your hidden artistic talents. There will also be an Ice Skating Night Thursday at 7:30PM so meet at Ackerman turnaround and remember to bring money, probably around $10-20.

VCN is just around the corner!
I know I'm totally psyched for our 28th VCN that's coming up this January 21st! You can get your tickets at UCLA's central ticket office this Thursday January 17th. Hurry because it will run out quickly!

ACA-VSU Joint General Meeting
VSU's first general meeting for Winter 2008 will be hosted together with ACA, the Association of Chinese American. It is scheduled for this Wednesday January 9th at 5PM-6PM in the Students Activities Center (SAC) Basement. For those who may not know where this building is, it is across from Ackerman and Bruinwalk so it's the building to the left as you walk up Bruinwalk. Come and meet new people and learn more about HOPE (Higher Opportunity Program for Education), one of our projects.

A New Year, A New Face
Hello Everyone,
How was everyone's winter break? I hope it's going well so far and that you're well rested and ready for the upcoming quarter and year! It's a brand new year and that means a brand new start. This website for one has been given a totally new look, a redesign that was long sought after. It should be a lot easier to navigate and in addition, to read. I've also added new pages and content so be sure to check that out. And I would like to extend thanks to Viet Bui, our Alumni, for designing the hot new banner!
Any comments on the new website is welcomed, be it compliments or criticisms, I'm all for it. I'm always looking for suggestions on improving the website.
